Visit Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua
Ciudad Juarez ("Passage to the North") is one of the most important border cities in the country. Its main attractions involve exhibitions and sporting events like the running of the bulls, rodeos, dog races, car races, golf courses and an endless number of places to rest and amuse oneself day or night.
The city's most significant structures are the old customs building, the Historical Museum, the old Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, the Guadalupe Mission, the Infantry Quarters, the Revolution Monument, the Art Museum, the monumental Plaza de Toros, the old Presidencia Municipal and the Juarez Market.
For culture, a visit to the Museum of Archeology is recommended. It is located in Chamizal Park and has an interesting fossil collection found in the region as well as exhibits in the garden of reproductions from the amazing cultures of the Mexican Republic.
About 47 km south of the city are the constantly shifting Semalayuca Dunes. This is a great place to appreciate the flora and fauna of the desert.
